About Philip Harwood

Philip Harwood has had a life-long passion for the past, with interests in film, music, theatre, literature, and other forms of mass media. He has taught at the 92nd Street Y, and has done the same at The New School For Social Research, and the Brooklyn Historical Society. Philip was the Coordinator for the Life Long Learning Institute at Queens College, where he also coordinated the Queens College Life Long Learning Summer Film Festival. He also lectures in the Hutton House Lectures at Long Island University: C.W. Post. He is also a published author: his chapter on Jack Benny’s film career, is featured in the anthology, Well! Reflections On The Life And Career of Jack Benny, edited by Mike Leanah, and published by Bear Manor Media. Philip is an Adjunct Professor of Film at St. Francis College, in Brooklyn Heights. Philip is a New York State Librarian, currently at Elmont Memorial Library, in Nassau County, and Wyandanch Public Library, in Suffolk County.   .
